Free and open source
StealthPin is free. There's no account, no subscription, no ads, and nothing that gets switched off later to make you pay. That stays true when the source goes public, and after.
The license
StealthPin is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. In plain terms, you can use it, change it, and share it, including copies you've changed. If you hand out a copy built from StealthPin, it has to stay under the same license, with its source available to the people you give it to. Nobody can take it, close it up and sell it.
The source
The source code isn't public yet. It's being tidied up for release, and when it goes up, this page and the footer of every page will link to it. Until then, the apps you download are built from it and signed by the developer.
Helping out
You don't need to write code to help:
- Tell us what broke. Email hello@stealthpin.com or open an issue on the releases page. The hold log and the iOS version make a report much easier to act on.
- Report what you see at home. The Find My at-home question in Known limits is open, and logs from real phones are the way to close it.
- Fix the docs. Once the source is public, these pages will be too, and anyone can send a correction.
Using it well
StealthPin is for your own phone and your own privacy. Please don't use it to deceive someone who's relying on knowing where you are for their safety, to cheat in games or apps whose rules you've agreed to, or to mislead emergency services. Some apps and games do check, and can ban accounts that fake location.
